Coming in 2027: local-option RCV
No bill this session lets towns, villages, cities, and school districts choose ranked-choice voting for their own elections. Earlier bills, including A4351 and A8830 from 2023–24 and Sen. Liz Krueger's local pilot, expired without being reintroduced.
Civestor Advocacy's draft New York Ranked Choice Voting Act covers state and local elections. When a local-option bill is filed in January 2027, this map will track it.
