Volunteer · Civestor Advocacy

Put your civic energy to work.

Civestor Advocacy runs on volunteers: people who gather signatures, show up at public meetings, check facts and spread the word. Tell us how you’d like to help, and we’ll invite you to our volunteer team on Slack.

How volunteering works

  1. Sign up with the form. It takes a minute.
  2. Get an invite to the Civestor Advocacy volunteer workspace on Slack, usually within a few days. Slack is free on phone and computer.
  3. Pick what you want to do. Projects are posted in Slack, from one-hour tasks to ongoing roles. Do as much or as little as you like.

Right now we need help with our County Issues campaigns: term limits for Nassau legislators, a vote on Peconic County, and Nassau’s consolidation survey, plus our statewide push for ranked-choice voting.

Prefer to just talk it over?

Join the open conversation in the American Civic Power community on Discord or Reddit. Anyone can read and post there; the Slack workspace is for active volunteers.
